NARS Danmari All About Cheeks Palette Review & Swatches

My friend, Cecy, did the sweetest favor for me by picking up the NARS Danmari All About Cheeks palette for me. This $65, limited edition palette comes with 6 different shades of NARS blushes and is valued at about $107. This palette includes:
  • Hungry Heart (Gold Ivory with lots of shimmer)
  • Orgasm (Peachy pink with golden shimmer)
  • Desire ( Matte Cotton candy pink)
  • Casino (Dark brown with a bit of golden shimmer)
  • Super Orgasm (Peachy pink with gold glitter)
  • Sin (Mauvey-berry color with a tad of shimmer)

The palette comes in a red & black box sitting in a faux-velvet b

ase. The palette case itself is an extra large version of the black cases of their standard blushes. It measures approx. 6 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. Each color is about 0.12oz each, whereas a standard NARS blush is 0.16oz, so you're basically getting about 75% of the full size amount. I say that is an incredible value for the price of $65 for 6 blushes.

I really this palette because it has your highlighter, your contour blush, and 4 fun blushes. This is a good palette for travel if you do not want to carry all of the above individually.

They all apply nicely. I really love Casino because although it seems intimidating in the pan, it swatches pretty lightly making it easy for contour and contr
ol. The same sheerness is provided by Desire which can be packed on for more intensity and drama.

I was over the moon to receive this because my Orgasm
blush (cult favorite) had met the true death (True Blood lingo) and shattered. My heart shattered with it. Now I feel complete again :)

The only real disappointment in this palette is Super Orgasm. I have never cared for the HUGE chunks of glitter. I feel like I'm wearing craft glitter on my face and it is not a good feeling. I wish they would have substituted it for "Torrid", "Madly" or "Oasis".

Overall, the palette is definitely worth the investment. It also makes a fabulous gift for any blush enthusiast like myself. It currently available for purchase at Sephora.
